About two years ago I had just moved into my very own place for the first time. It was a new frontier for me after about a decade of shuffling roommates and rotating apartments in two different cities. I’ve lived in every type of apartment – from a two-story row-home, a termite-infested building, a beautiful Spanish-style duplex in Beverly Hills. But now, this time was different; I finally had a place to call my own and I didn’t have to succumb to other people’s terrible decorating ideas or weird, quirky habits. I had a new home and it was time for new home furniture.
The new place was perfect: Hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a brand new shower with a built-in seat. The apartment was even in an upscale part of town, walking distance to many five-star restaurants, new bars and popular shops. It was everything I could ever want; some might think maybe even too good to be true. Well, it did have one tiny drawback—tiny being the operative word. It was just shy of four hundred square feet, so just big enough to fit one, and only one, person comfortably, yet small enough that it might have been confused for a Master bedroom if it was in any standard-sized family home. But, it was mine, all mine and I couldn’t have been happier.
When it came time to decorate I knew I had to be strategic with the space; I wanted everything I had to have a home, so storage was going to be really important. I started searching for furniture stores in Atlanta and discovered Horizon Home Furniture. They had everything I was looking for – everything from corner chairs, sofas, end tables, and even decorative mirrors and rugs. Their selection of the best modern and contemporary furniture Atlanta has to offer was more than enough to choose from and I was excited to check it out.
When I got to the store, I had brought with me a sketch of my apartment with all the measurements. The extremely helpful staff gave me a tour of the showroom and had made some great suggestions for furniture that was both stylish and functional. After just about an hour I walked out of the store having bought a sectional sofa and a dining table that was going to fit my tiny home perfectly. I’ve since recommended Horizon Home Furniture to all my friends as my favorite Atlanta furniture store.
