We make all of our selections with the high quality and designer standards of our Atlanta and Georgia clientele in mind. For a few of our favorite manufacturers, we will often buy out most, if not all, of their showroom samples following industry trade shows. This gives you first access to the upcoming season’s new designs from multiple manufacturers.

Visit our trendy showroom and warehouse on any given day, and you may find yourself shopping alongside notable interior designers, celebrities, movie and television set designers, as well as regular down to earth homeowners from Buckhead to well beyond the Perimeter. In addition to our “Special Situation Purchases”, we buy a portion of our inventory direct from the biggest and best manufacturers in the world.

Throughout the years, Horizon has established relationships with many of the best and largest manufacturers in the world. Some of these are the very manufacturers behind the top names in the industry — the ones known for their beautiful expensive catalogs and showrooms. We order truckloads or shipping containers directly from these manufacturers to ensure that we can get the absolute lowest price available to anyone. This can often be as much as 50% below wholesale. Plus, because our warehouse is attached to our store, we minimize shipping costs. So, no wholesalers’ costs and commissions, no shipping from a central warehouse to our store and no catalog expenses. All this means lower prices and more design inspiration for you.

Our Team

Horizon’s founder, Mike McMahon, has influenced the Atlanta furniture scene for over 17 years. After starting with a 5000 square foot space inside of Horizon Pacific Rugs, Mike’s keen eye and shrewd business sense led to a thriving direct import business from countries around the globe. In short order he was able to take over the nearly 40,000 square foot location that originally served as Macy’s warehouse, and where Horizon Home still resides. Mike was looking for new ways to grow the business and called upon his longtime friend Elizabeth Scott, Atlanta entrepreneur and designer, and soon they were partners. Elizabeth had spent the prior decade renovating homes throughout Georgia and Florida following twenty years in finance and marketing. She brings a fresh energy and view to Horizon, a passion for helping people attain beautiful design at affordable prices, and she has brought many additional lines, including more premium brands, to the Horizon family of offerings. Together, the pair is redefining the Atlanta furniture buying experience, with furnishings from modern classics to urban chic, to live edge designs unique to Horizon – all at truly affordable prices in a welcoming and inspirational setting.

Instead of selling you what we have, we invite you to take part in the design! Our Live Edge furniture includes handcrafted tables, desks, benches, bars, and more, in your choice of woods. We even make our own line of custom live edge furniture right on our premises. Here, you can pick your own slab.
